YOUNG PEOPLE ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE IN LOCAL LEVEL ELECTIONS

August 8, 2018The Media launch of the African Youth and Governance Conference (AYGC) took place on the 31st July, 2018 at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra.
This year’s AYGC is under the theme; “Mobilising the Youth to Build a Continent Beyond Aid” and it is scheduled to take place between 5th to 12th August 2018. AYGC 2018, the 100 delegates’ international conference will host about 50 diaspora youth and youth from over 30 African countries.
The Launch outlined details of the 10th edition of AYGC, as well as committee sessions under which delegates will research and submit motions to be passed by the General Assembly. In attendance were Seth Oteng, Executive Director of Youth Bridge Foundation, Julio D Mederios (Esq) who is a Board Member, Nadia Adongo Musa; the Deputy Director Diaspora Affairs -Office of the President, Dr. Kojo Asante, Director of Advocacy and Policy Engagement (CDD) and Ben Larbi, AYGC Alumnus.
Other partners and endorsement of the event include Youth Bridge Foundation, The Government of Ghana, Youth Development Centre, ANSA, International Decade for People of African Descent, UN ECOSOC, JAK (The John Addo Kuffour Foundation), MTN, EMPOWERMENT SQUARED and Ghana News Canada.
This year’s AYGC looks forward to being successful on the strategically planned and purposeful agenda.
