The Executive Coordinator of Curious Minds, Mr. Kingsley Obeng-Kyereh, visited the Wa Chapter Club in March 2023. Accompanied by other Curious Minds officials, he was received by the Coordinator of the Wa Chapter Club, Mr. Philip Tengzu. The purpose of the visit was to engage in a community outreach program and strengthen ties with the chapter club.The community outreach focused on Social and Behavioural Change (SBC), and was a collaborative effort between the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), UNICEF, and Curious Minds. The event took place in Kagu, a farming community, and was attended by key stakeholders and decision makers, including the Wa Municipal Assembly, Department of Gender, and Ghana Health Service.During his address, Mr. Obeng-Kyereh emphasized the importance of holistic and sustainable development that includes both boys and girls. Various speakers, including representatives from the Department of Gender, GBC, UNICEF, and Ghana Health Service, addressed the gathering.The event received positive feedback and generated enthusiasm among the community members.
The team also took advantage of their presence in the region and made courtesy and partnership visitations to Ghana Broadcasting Corporation’s Radio Upper West and the Bomandi Preparatory School.
