Curious Minds, in partnership with UNICEF, organized the ‘Inter-Generational Dialogues Colloquia’ in three key zones in Ghana (Kumasi, Nkwanta, and Wa) to continue the conversation on harmful practices affecting children and women. These events, driven by CM’s Youth Public & Policy Advocacy project, converged diverse stakeholders, including young people, traditional and religious leaders, Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Ministry of Health, and Ministry of Education among others.
On the theme “Building a Better Ghana: Eliminating Harmful practices for Sustainable Development,” discussions focused on issues like teenage pregnancies, child marriage, gender-based violence, and female genital mutilation, fostering collaboration and practical solutions at the local levels.
These colloquia served as a platform for forging partnerships and generating actionable recommendations to combat harmful practices, with CM and UNICEF’s commitment to child protection in Ghana at the forefront.
